Stained Glass Sheep

Here are some pictures of a new window being made featuring some stained glass sheep as suggested by the pupils of Cutnall green C of E First School in Worcestershire. The sheep are etched onto flash glass and then painted and kiln fired. The window also has some etching and enameling on the school badge to create the blue on yellow. Some of the flash glass is from English Antique Glass based in Alvechurch on the outskirts of Birmingham. This is the only company in England still producing hand-blown cylinder glass.

The fused glass tiles within the window were created by the pupils within the school during a one day workshop. The pupils were fantastic creating some very exciting and imaginative tiles. If you’d like to know more about the workshops we offer within schools you can find out here.
